§ 2602. Enforcing officer.

The building inspectors of the City of Greenville and surrounding Washington County planning area are hereby authorized and directed to enforce all of the provisions of this ordinance and for such purpose they shall have the powers of police officers. Their duties shall include inspecting premises and issuing building permits and certificates of occupancy for buildings and uses that meet the requirements of this ordinance. All law enforcement officials are charged with the responsibility of lawfully enforcing the provisions of this ordinance.
