§ 5-207. Certain items to remain unchanged and unmoved for five days from date of acquisition.

  • It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker, for a period of five (5) days from the date of any purchase or other acquisition as described in this article to sell, exchange, barter or remove from the place in which such business is conducted, or in case the place of business is located in a motel or hotel, the room or rooms in which the business is conducted or such other place as may be approved by the chief of police, or to change the form of any such items by remounting, melting, cutting up, dismantling, or otherwise, nor shall any pawnbroker change the serial number or other identifying nomenclature of such items of personalty.
