§ 7-96. Water deposit charges.

A minimum deposit shall be made by all consumers before the commencement of water service in accordance with the following schedule:

(1)

Consumer within city limits of the city:

  5/8 ″ meter—homeowner ..... $ 80.00

  5/8 ″ meter—nonhomeowner ..... 80.00

1″ meter ..... 80.00

1½″ meter ..... 80.00

2″ meter ..... 80.00

(2)

Consumers outside the city limits of the city:

  5/8 ″ meter—homeowner ..... $160.00

  5/8 ″ meter—nonhomeowner ..... 160.00

1″ meter ..... 160.00

1½″ meter ..... 160.00

2″ meter ..... 160.00

The water deposit charges referred to above shall be required to be paid by all water consumers in advance of connection; said deposit shall be refunded to the water consumer upon discontinuance of use from the city water system, providing that all charges and costs associated with the subject account have been paid.
