§ 3-140. Liability insurance; amount.

  • Before issuance or renewal of a privilege license to any person engaging in the business of electrical contracting, or to do or cause to be done any electrical work in the city or county planning jurisdiction, such licensed applicant shall obtain, and furnish proof of a public liability insurance policy in the amount no less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00).

Ord. No. 01-0008, § I, adopted May 15, 2001, amended the Code by repealing former § 3-140, and adding a new § 3-140 to read as herein set out. Former § 3-140 pertained to an electrician's bond, and derived from the Code of 1965, § 9-7.
